Lost property covered by two policies

Item appears to be covered on our home and holoday insurance (seperate policies)
Arriving home from holiday earlier in the week, my wife discovered she has lost a gold watch (value aprox. £1,000)
She remembers replacing it on her wrist after passing through security at the departure airport
She believes the most probable place it was lost was at baggage reclaim at Leeds Bradford
We have registered on the airlines / airport lost property web site
How do we proceed to claim, don't want to be accused of making a double claim
Thanks in anticipation

Claim against the policy with the lowest excess.
The insurers will sort out this dual cover between themselves
Are you sure your holiday insurance will cover the £1000 watch?? (And the house insurance covers valuables away from home)0 -
Thanks for the reply, item turned up, it had fallen off her wrist into the bottom of a carrier bag
Travel insurance had words like "Cover for luggage and personal items £2,800" Definately covered by home insurance
