    Morning :)
I think summer has got itself in a tizz, does it know it's meant o be dry and sunny with occasional showers not lots of grey and rain :rotfl: I want to get out and do some weeding.
I have been back and read from page 50, but please don't ask me to remember everything as I have been doing it on/off since yesterday :o
I lost focus on ordering Christmas gifts so I haven't got a lot at the moment, but I am planning to get myself back in to gear again. Otherwise I'm going to end up being in the dash during December :naughty: Have a couple of birthdays I want to just get sorted first too, plus our friends have asked me to be godmother to their DD so I need to find something for her Christening.
3forholidays I don't blame you taking your dad's offer of a lift, I bet it's nice spending a little bit of time with him each end of the day too.
free I do hope next weeks test goes ok, you really have been through the mill :(
    welcome pablosmummy

I think I might pop a Christmas film on at lunch ;):snow_laug
EDIT: just popped on to accessorize and found a few socks/jewellery bits on the sale which means I've finished my mums birthday/started BIL's fianc!'s birthday or Christmas and stocking fillers for mum/mil/silx2/BIL's fianc!! Feeling a little more accomplished and in the right mindset for getting organised.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

    Afternoon all!

Autistic logic is the BEST! (I know...I am autistic!)

I was a latecomer to knitting....When I was younger I had no interest in knitting or crochet - my Mum was (and still is!) a terrific knitter and crocheter, nothing I did would be as good as hers, so I let her do it all! Instead, I began to do embroidery. I have plenty of patience and became reasonably competent at it. ..I DID try knitting. They tried to teach me at school...and t Guides...and Mum tried to teach me a few times.....I till wonder that we both survived!!!....Then, a few years ago my disabilities became worse, and I had to give up work. I eventually accepted this - after fighting like mad! - and started to look for ways I could keep myself occupied. Embroidery was on the list! But I can't always manage to hold the needle - and also, as I can be housebound for long periods I wanted a variety of different things to do...I was looking at the Shoebox Appeal - Mum and I fill boxes each year, and saw Mum's knitting patterns, I spotted the one for a bag which was simplicity itself (cast on...knit every stitch until you have a rectangle of the required size...cast off...fold in half, sew up the sides and add a handle). ..I asked Mum for a small ball of wool and a pair of needles...I then picked up my Readers Digest Guide to Needlework'... opened it t 'How to Cast On for Knitting'...and away I went! Two days later Mum came for coffee and her jaw dropped as she saw me knitting away!....And I have never looked back! I learned to purl - which then meant I could effectively do ALL the required stitches...I learned to increase, decrease, use dpns, use a cable needle....so, those who envy knitters - you are never to old to start!

Some years ago I got a lovely Nativity scene. It is made of wood and all the figures have smooth, blank faces - no expressions! I love it! Being autistic I don't read faces too well, and even pictures and figures confuse me...it was such a joy to find this one! And being wooden it is beautiful to hold/touch too!....It is so beautiful that I have never packed it away - I have my Christmas Nativity scene in my lounge all year long!

    Mornin!

Welcome prinzessilein, you will be in good company here.

PK I just don't get all this grief about the referendum result.I didn't vote to leave but I am glad to live in a democracy where people can have a different opinion to mine.

Free, here's hoping that you continue to feel better x

Pinksteps.I googled pernicious anaemia as I had no knowledge of it.It does sound like your son may be able to have tablets eventually instead of injections, lets hope so,tablets are preferable in my book.It also sounds like he will feel a lot better once treatment starts. It must be a relief for you to have a diagnosis.

Chrissy DD2 is on the spectrum so I get the logic,it still catches me out sometimes though.

Treasure Q Hamper sounds good but could get expensive if you get 50 items.I did it for DD1's 21st and to be honest I was running out of ideas, particularly as her birthday is not long after Christmas.Hmm maybe a rose is sounding good.

Peppa you are allowed to feel off.Keep hold of the idea "this time next year".xxx

Well I have been so busy recently.Gardening and socialising which is all good.I love living in this village,it was the right thing to move house.

Breast clinic phoned the day after and recalled me for a mammogram!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not thinking about it,sure its just a precaution.

Mr V working away last night so I have been awake since 3am,must miss the snoring.

    Laters Vx

    I'm sure it's all routine v xxx

Thank you, I've added tablets to my list of questions X

This is the exact reason the GP might visit at home. He only had his first ever blood tests this year at the age of 19 and was fine having bloods taken but it was the direct aftermath. The poor blood taking ladies and the people in the waiting room. I did give the nurse a heads up about the autism (thankfully), but the minute she said it was all finished he blurts out " oh my god, I can no longer be a master criminal, my dna is in the system".
He has had all vaccinations up until preschool (where I could hold him down), but none since. He believes them injecting him with unknown chemicals will make him normal and he doesn't want normality. There really is no reasoning with him so I let him get on with it and try to steer him in the right direction. Wednesday will prove interesting :rotfl:

One of my second cousins is on the spectrum and some of his logic actually makes more sense in my opinion. He is extremely literal and metaphors go completely over his head, we just have to try and refrain from saying anything that may confuse him or cause a melt down, but it's very hard.
Hello, thought I'd join in as it's half way through the year and I need to start getting sorted properly.
Just started back on swagbucks to try and get a little bit of extra money by Christmas, going to look into other survey sites while the kids are in bed tonight.
I started a lace knitted shawl for my gran a while ago which is meant to be for Christmas but it's going very slowly... Im also making a crochet c2c Christmas blanket ( sorry no idea how to do links on my phone but it's from repeat crafter me) which is actually flying along nicely, two more squares and about 5 million rows of border to go ha.
My pinterest board is getting full of ideas for gifts and food (om nom baked camembert here I come)
I'm just so excited about Christmas! My children will be 3 and 4 this year so we can really do the magic of father Christmas etc

Hope to get to know you and pick up some ideas along the way.

    Welcome to the gang!

I'm loving seeing our Christmas money pot grow each month, but slightly paranoid I'll be running around like a headless chicken come December as nothing is bought yet, not a single Christmas present

    Morning all,
I made my last payment to Park yesterday so that's DD's clothing vouchers sorted , I have also got a lot of stuff ordered so I may wrap things up when it all arrives.

For my sins I have agreed to take DD shopping to Meadowhall today clothes shopping , I really am my own worst enemy sometimes.

Her Evanescence cd came and she knew what it was straight away so said could I put it on her ipod then wrap it up ! needless to say she has it now.

We have time off in November so she has asked to go see the coca cola truck and feed the Meercats , there's a place locally you pay around £30 for two people to hand feed them needless to say I will be the one behind the camera!

PRINZESSILEIN the nativity set sounds lovely, I shall keep a lookout for one like that to give to DD as DGS might find it easier to relate to than the standard sort.

Love the idea of having the nativity set out all year round prinzessilein!
Have fun at Meadowhall chrissy, hopefully it won't be too busy being a week day.
Feisty don't worry I'll possibly be there running about too haha! I have made a reasonable start yesterday but still lots to get as I hadn't got anything.

Got a busy-ish day today so I ought to of got up earlier but never mind. Want to de-clutter our bedroom and start getting stuff ready for either selling/charity shop. Want to go and see my grandad, do some weeding since it's nice and I've got 3 prom make ups to do! Need to decide what's being made for tea also!
Have a good day everyone, I better get on :)

Chrissy G,get to the coca cola lorry very very early. We took DD2 last year and you could get nowhere near it.There were thousands of people there, she hated it,took a long distance pic and we went home.
