    Thanks Bob

I've bitten the bullet and come back to work, didn't really feel ready as my tummy is still not great and I get dizzy just standing up but a few texts from the boss on Friday worried me over the weekend as he was panicking about things that needed doing (they could have waited but hey ho) it's like I've never been away and I still feel rubbish :(

Niece is doing beautifully though and I hope by the end of this week I'll be recovered enough to see her.
I'm not sure if I've mentioned before but I had glandular fever when I was in my teens, not a terrible dose and it lingered in my system. I ended up being diagnosed with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and whilst I am at about 95% functionality these days (much improved as there were days when my parents had to carry me to the bathroom and help me bathe), my immune system is shocking, so even a little cold knocks me for weeks at a time - and this one has been a doozy - throat, nose, headaches and quickly moved onto my chest so it's taking me a while to tackle the stairs etc.

I feel marginally better today - helped massively by the fact I got a fairly decent sleep - better than I have for over a week anyway, it makes such a difference!

Work still rubbish and boss seems to have lost the will to make decisions/manage workforce or even be here. Other management staff are taking the mick with work hours (leaving an hour early every day!) which is winding me up more than normal because it just wouldn't occur to me to take the mickey in that way and I think it's a joke that they are being allowed to get away with it. They manage a different department to me so there's no point getting my knickers in a twist but I'm easily wound up when I'm ill!

Hello! I have tried writing to you so many times and it doesn't work or I get called away by family or something. Poor you! I can see why you've gone to work sometimes wallowing in the pain at home makes it harder. Going to work distracts you a bit.
So so relieved about your niece. They have to scare the daylights out of you. It's part of their charm.
Sorry I didn't write when it was bad. Hope preparations for the newlyweds is going well x

    Hi Kitten :)

Hope all is progressing with the house, so excited for you :D

Yeah, it's been a distraction, although not a particularly welcome one today. I'm sure the lads know when I've got a short fuse and they are doing their best to wind me up today - questioning all my decisions and arguing about why they shouldn't have to do something

Niece seems to be doing well, thank goodness - she's very colicky/windy so my sister is trying infacol, fingers crossed that helps as she's a bit of a nightmare to settle down of an evening. I've still not seen her for over a week and it's gutting! She's changing every day and I want to be there :(

Is she formula fed or breastfed?
No not the distraction you want but a distraction all the same. I think men are always a wind up. We just notice it more when our patience is low.
House is dragging. Losing the plot with it. X

She's breastfed primarily - but using expressed milk most of the time as she doesn't latch well and because she guzzles I think she just swallows too much air.

Oh no, is it still not picking up speed? I thought they were supposed to be quicker for you!

It depends who you speak to Bob, my specialists are of the opinion that you don't recover as such, more that you go into a remission. I know there are other specialists who think differently so it really depends which doctor you get.
I'm more of the remission opinion personally, my immune system has never been the same since and illnesses really knock me for six, a bad one can knock my ability back by 10% or more. This flu bout has left me too exhausted to do much more than go to work and then sleep on the sofa when I get home, eat dinner then go to bed. Speaking of which I've had 3 naps on the sofa and am now going to bed :o

So it would appear that this flu has left me with a delightful bout of viral pleurisy. Apparently this explains the pain when breathing and coughing (this morning resulted in almost passing out in the bedroom hence the docs visit) so I've had a chest X ray and a blood test (as I had a pulmonary embolism 12 years ago so always a concern when I have chest pain)

I know, I'm jinxed when it comes to my health. I think I probably belong in a medical dictionary and I'm considering putting myself on the scrap heap :(
