My wife is flying soon on Emirates from the UK to Dubai and Johannesburg.
She has an baggage allowance of 30 kg.
is this for her main bag only (going into the plane hold) or is it 30kg total, ie her main bag, a cabin bag and her handbag ?
thank you

This is a good point. Wherever we go, my wife always seems to take pride in maxing out our baggage allowance. Unfortunately, it's usually me that has to carry the bags.0 -

What no wheels?
We bought smaller cases so we can only get about 20KG in ours. Although I've no idea what people pack in their bags to get 30KG, I've just done a mock pack & I'm weighing in at just 10KG but without toiletries.
Yes I agree Emirates can be very generous & have never questioned Mr Dukes 12KG camera bag, you can take a blanket, a pillow, & probably a cuddly toy ....0 -

Hers has wheels mine doesn't.
30kg (or more) is dead easy to do. Christmas puddings, Christmas cakes, jars of home made chutney, snorkelling gear, shoes. You name it, we've probably got it packed.
I'm just waiting for our star turn on "Border Security Australia".0
