Hi All,

I have a company car, and it seems to be excessively affecting the tax code, which is in the 600's

now in my mind this means that I am losing 4k a year of free money? is that right or is it that I have 20% of 4k free and so £800 p/a i'm loising??

Essentially trying to find how much my car is and should be costing me

You are losing 4k of your personal tax allowance.

This will actually cost you anywhere from £0 to £1800 depending on how much income you have during the year.

£800 would be a common amount for a lot of people (basic rate tax).

Have you looked at how your actual tax code is made up on your personal tax account on gov.uk, this should show the car benefit in kind figure.
