I dont suppose there is any chance of using the email from them that says you have purchased the product to force them to sell it to you at ther stupid price.

He isn't ripping them off if he purchased it at the price they were advertising on the website.

As far as I know as long as no payment was taken and no charges were applied to credit cards, then no contract was formed as it happens at the point of payment rather than "acceptance".

If you had paid and received the goods then they cannot ask for the rest of the payment, transaction is completed and you would be the winner, if you has the goods in your hands when you paid, then i would say yes they should honour it. I am sure the rules in a shop are that they DO NOT HAVE to sell you anything if they did not want too! just because it was on the internet you think its OK?, Sometimes they honour prices just to be customer friendly, but when it is a mistake like this i don't see how you can push a store to sell to you. Surely you can't all be vultures ? But I appreciate that you have to try and see what you can get ;-) after all they are getting free publicity out of it, might not be all good, but its worked to get there name out there! As if they really need to advertise. :-P.
