A lot of the special offers that say 'no purchase required' actually do require a purchase of sorts and it's really annoying. Has anyone noticed that? I was filling in a survey and then came to a box asking if I wanted five free lotto lines. I said no, and the survey wouldn't let me progress until I chose yes. I decided not to bother with it because the small print talked about signing me up to a weekly thing.
    What will your verse be?

I'm having problems with a lot of the CrowdFlower tasks that require you to "answer a few questions about a website". The task involves visiting yieldtrack.com on a mobile device and entering a code which leads to a search engine where you're supposed to enter a given search term. Invariably, I get the search term given as "" (as in a pair of quotation marks with nothing between them), so obviously I can't get results. I've tried different tasks and different browsers with no avail; is anyone else having this problem?

I copied this from answered before Try searching for:

    "mobile online casino" then

pick out "mobile casino action/play slots..........."

(Mine is always the first page first search hit every time, wish there were more ipad questions)

Credit goes to Coz93 as they answered originally. Thanks.

I did write it down to remember as well but don't have that on me. Sorry but don't know how to use the actual post from a different page.

been looking on wiki about swagbucks
also been looking at finance.yahoo.com (click link to see) and it looks like the £/$ ratio had a LARGE changed about a year after they started.

.... anyone know if they have revalued their SB conversion rate since they started or are we still on the outdated conversion rate .... in the USA 100 SB = $1 for most rewards.

Paul do you know ? or Nick if you are reading this ???

I don't know if Swagbucks have changed the conversion rate in the past year, but I DO know that they skim around 20% off Paypal payments to those in the UK, vs those in the US.

They *could* be paying us in US dollars into our Paypal accounts, like the other GPT sites do.

UK Paypal accounts have no problem receiving payments in US dollars. You can keep the currency in US dollars (if say, you want to make purchases in US dollars), or convert it instantly into GBP.

But instead of paying us the same amount in US dollars as they pay the Americans (5000 Swagbucks = $50 Paypal), they devised a little scheme to "rip off the Brits" and line their pockets at the same time.

They decided to pay us GBP into our Paypal accounts instead of US$. Perhaps they were hoping we wouldn't notice that we are being ripped off. They don't show us in the Rewards store the Swagbucks to Paypal dollar exchange, only the Swagbucks to Paypal GBP exchange.

For those who want to see for themselves, here is what the Americans get:

For those in the US: 5000 SB = $50
For those in the UK: 4949 SB = £25 ($39.38)
    (Equivalent of 5000 SB = $39.79)
(Conversion based on today's Paypal rates)

So whereas Americans get $50 for each 5000 SB, we Brits get $39.79 for each 5000 SB.

I guess "every little helps"...

Thanks ThriftyFelicity I hadn't realized that either.

I also earn on other sites such as SurveyMad which pays in $ but to convert it in paypal £ a fee is taken. So do you know if its best to convert to £ and then withdraw to your bank account, or is it possible to leave it as $ and withdraw it as $ to the bank or would the bank take more with the conversion.
Am trying to save up a bit in $ as well.
    thanks

    Thanks v much vampire-girl and Coz93!
Unfortunately, turns out my mobile provider have blocked it as it doesn't know if I am over 18 to access such sites. It requires credit card details to unlock the parental control and I don't have a credit card! Bummer! :P

Not only do I have this problem but although I can see the task from my laptop using Firefox the task doesn't show on the Tasks when I use my IPad using Safari.

MangoStan never had nothing like that come up for me but I do mine on the ipad, maybe that's why. Next time one comes up will try on the iphone and see if it works.

The search term says "" but above there is a photo of what they want you to search for. It is usually showing you what it looks like on a mobile and in the google box on their photograph there is the search term.
