Just a heads up for anyone on CSA1 who has a child nearing the age of 16, make sure you ring up and ask for a re-assessment as the PWC no longer gets the carers element of the allowance for the child. BUT if you don't ring and ask for a reassessment nothing will change.
Hubby rang month before child's b'day. He rang again a couple of days before b'day and nothing had been actioned. As a result by the time it was done we paid an extra week at the full amount.
However it's well worth doing it, as our payments have reduced by 20% - the biggest reduction in the whole time we've been paying.

I dont understand why payments reduce. The child still costs the same amount, if not more!0

It's also worth ringing when the child gets to age 11 and 14 as the carer element reduces by 25% then as well0

Presumably at 16 they would not need child care that may have to be paid for.0

This only applies to 1993 rules. Be aware that it also opens up the option for the PWC to request all your details are brought up to date - so you may find your payments go up!0
