HELP ! How do we remove body odour smell from wool ?

Hi,
Don't know if anyone can help, but my daughter lent her woolen dress to a friend of hers last week and brought it back unwashed.
Unfortunately, after a couple of washes, there is still a strong smell of body odour in the armpits.
It's one of my daughters favourite dresses and can't wear it until the pong's gone.
Any advice on how to remove it would be greatly received.
Not sure if I'm on the right board for this question.

    Have you tried those 'dry clean in the tumble drier' things, they are quite good, and you can do about 4 or 5 items of clothing with one sheet.
    Either that or take it to be dry cleaned. I know that leaving things on the line outdoors gets rid of stains, dunno about a sweaty pong, maybe worth a try.
    This is definitely the right place!

    White vinegar in the fabric conditioner tray - a couple of tablespoons and that should work.

    If it is really bad, pour a little white vinegar under the arms of dress and leave for a couple of hours and then wash dress. It really does work!

    White vinegar definitely works on smelly socks :D

    Vinegar is an anti-bacterial and the smell that is produced from body odour is caused by bacteria, so it makes sense that vinegar would work if you think about ;)
