In two and a half years I have earned £4257.67 additional 'income'. This has come from a variety of sources, the main one being quidco (around £1800). Also money from mystery shopping, green metropolis, ebay, amazon, comp wins from this site (cash plus things sold), survey sites etc.

I've also saved a lot by following tips on here re energy, cheap hotel sites etc.

Plus money 'saved' by not spending it in the first place - this site has totally changed my mind set.

And finally, £1000's saved by paying off my mortgages early - already saved a few thousand despite the lowering interest rates, and the plan is to get rid of the remaining 150k () in seven and a half years.

Thank you Martin & MSE thumbsup.gif

My husband is eager to save money, but because of the recent financial crisis he lost his job and its been 7months he is not working. The saving are gone and we are living in government funds. I just hope everything is going to be okay.

My friend from work paid £10 (face value £38.50 )for a ticket from a tout outside the Oasis concert at Heaton Park last Thursday (4/6/09). Fantastic gig but best of all..... there was a massive power failure which meant that the band had to go off stage for over 40 minutes. When Noel came back on stage he declared that everyone will get a full refund. She's now sent off her ticket stub and hopes to get back £28.50 !! She's basically been paid to watch Oasis !!!!!

Once again Martin Lewis's weekly e-mail set me on the right path to get the best deal for the renewal of my car insurance. When I got the renewal notice from last year's insurers, A.A. the quote was a masssive £75l. I searched both Moneysupermarket and Gocompare.com and found an inusurer that specialises in women's car insurance, their quote, including legal and no claims protection was £483. saving £268. One of the reasons of the high cost is probably age related, I am in the late 70's. Earlier this year, using Moneysupermarket I saved over £300 on house insurance.

Just a couple ofsmall one - put my boots Advantage card into the machine every time I go in! I've always got a long list and have acquired a lot of extra points because I've spent over £25! I save my points all year and spend them on presents at Christmas...so this is free money from boots!

I've started brand shifting at the supermarket....special K has been replaced by Sainsbury's Healthy Balance... my cupboard has a good range of Basic's in and my purse is a little fuller!

Can't find a replacement for honey Loops though - she's sussed everything I've tried ao far!
