Quite a few MMA clubs emerging in Gloucestershire but they are so expensive. There is Trogan (Paul Sutherland), Range Fighting (Mark Weir) etc. Most of them are expensive either £5-£7 or require a Direct Debit payment and usually there might be more than one class that you would like to attend then the cost will increase.
I am wondering if it's best to learn one martial arts rather than attending an MMA gym.

Surely the answer to this depends on what you intend to achieve by doing MMA. Do you want to fight in the ring? Get fit? Or learn how to defend yourself?
What do you like about MMA? The striking? Kicks? Ground game?
Ask yourself these questions and try to narrow down your focus. If it's self defence then maybe something purely self defence orientated like Krav Maga may be for you. Also, what is your current level of fitness?
If you want to become halfway decent, then you will be going to more than one session per week, so it's going to be more expensive.
Have a trial lesson or ask if you can watch the sessions. You want to be wary of gyms that have just been set up to cash in on MMA's popularity. What credentials does the trainer have? Who trains there? Any top fighters? What are the facilities like?
In my experience in London, with boxing gyms, you are looking at between £7-10 a session or £50-60 a month for daily use of the gym.0 -

Remember that MMA is for sport, not real combat, obviously there's a lot of crossover but there's key differences, ones that can get you hurt/killed on the street.0
