The trellis in the back garden is going. Theres no plant growing up it and it needs coating with fence protector. So does the fence behind it. Whats the point in coating the trellis when its never been used? As i said to myself earlier, whats the point in making work for yourself when you dont have to?

A bit more progress this afternoon

Sorted through the toy box that we keep for when the grandchildren visit so
2 more items for charity bag
    1 bag of rubbish
Result = lid now fits so much tidier

    So 22/100 today

Also photographed the items for listing this weekend and actually took the bag to the CS. I did buy 3 Kilner jars while there but they are part of my decluttering plan as I will use them for crafty bits and pieces (ribbons, beads, buttons etc) instead of them being scattered all over the place = task for tomorrow.

That's a brilliant idea! I've got some unused storage jars I could put all my crafty bits in -at the moment they are all over the place in the bottom of various drawers and boxes.

Have been reading this thread and would love to join in as I just have too much stuff.

I don't want to set myself a challenge I won't achieve as I need to do this by baby steps so can I say declutter 100 by the end of June?

So I make that 19/100 - not marvellous but a start.

    Thanks for the inspiration:T

You're doing better than I am! Well done.:T
If you don't want to jump in with a big challenge you could (privately) set yourself a mini- challenge of, say, 1 item a day, so you can develop the habit. I might even try my own advice! :rotfl:
    Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j
    No debts.

Good idea especially as I am a bit of a creature of habit - thank you. So will continue this weekend.
So far I have put into the car boot ready to go to the tip later today:
1 not working microwave which has been cluttering the patio
1 broken hairdryer still in a drawer in the bedroom (why?)
1 broken cordless phone which has been in situ for months

Must keep going while I am on a bit of a roll - getting off the laptop would be a good start :D

I've almost filled one today and have also tidied a shelf so that they can be stored on there - I think they look really pretty and of course it is easy to see where stuff is. The other type of jar I use for storage of crafty bits is empty Yankee Candle jars - even after thorough washing there is usually a residual smell which is lovely

    :D Started to tackle the clothes........loadsa stuff not worn so have been having a try-on and the following are outta here;

    51. Jeans.
    52. Shirt.
    53. A blouse.
    54. Another blouse.
    55. Yet another blouse.

    55/100 in May.

Ooof, feel weary from all that trying on. Found several things in the can-fit-into-them-but-doing-me-no-favours. This is because I eat too many sweeties and am overweight. Pretty sickened by the embonpoint so have given myself a talking-to and will try to shed some gradually. I have put the above-category back on different coloured hangers and reversed the direction. If we get to next May and they are still too tight to be decent or flattering, I shall know I like sweeties more than style and they can go.

:) Keep up the good work, peeps.
