To continue our Macbeth theme. I defy anyone to describe the 2nd email better than this:

    MACBETH
Is this an email which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.
Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible
To feeling as to sight? or art thou but
A dagger of the mind, a false creation,
    Proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?
I see thee yet, in form as palpable
As this which now I draw.

Tibbledom, I'm so grateful for you initiating this thread on a thread. I did Macbeth for the old GCSE English Literature exam. At time I thought what a blooming waste of time, then almost 40 years later, wham!!! the perfect opportunity to air the Bard's eloquent prose.

  • Morning all......

I would love to know if the FSCS had ever done a test run to see how the system would work in the event of a bank going bust.

Somehow I do not think they had.

Seems daft having a system in place without testing the practicalities of it.

Sounds like the exact same GCSE English Literature exam that I studied all too many years ago where we did Macbeth also.

I think it was Chameleon who started the errr........Scottish Play theme with her/his quote from the three witches dialogue at the beginning trying to summon up the second email.

Heading outdoors for the day but will check back later to see how things are going. Let's hope that time and the hour will run through this roughest day and those second emails will come flooding in.
MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here :D

  • Not sure if the topic is still applicable to this Thread, but myself & both of my parents are still awaiting our 2nd emails
  • Good morning everyone, no email at my end either.

Edit: just tried the "log in - click initiate button" rigmarole and of course no luck.

I can see myself still doing this come 4 December...and beyond.
