Soooo.....interest free periodon CC comes to an end in 12 days, and I still owe £4400. I have found an 0% interest with no transfer fee, for 12months, but need to wait to see if I've been accepted, then that gives me 12 months to pay it off properly this time, and I will, I didn't really class it as a debt. god knows why, but it is and I must pay is before I can start on my mortgage proper. This is my main focus now, will report back when I have a proper plan

OK, I think I'm on this now. Full confession....I owe

£487 to Honda for end of lease charges  managed to get it reduced by £130, and I fought it to the bitter end, but if I don't pay now it'll go to debt collection, still furious what they charge you for tiny dints on a 3 year old car.

£750 to HMRC as I was overpaid child benefit

£4467 to Virgin for my CC

So that's £5704 - nearly 25% of my the total of my original debt, and that's without trying.

I will pay Honda today as I have the money to do that, and HMRC will go when my expenses are paid, hopefully Friday (been oustanding from May )

Home improvements all paid for, bathroom man, electrician, plasterer, structural engineer (don't ask.... oh this house....!). House is looking in pretty good shape now and a much nicer place to be. I've got some joinery work being done next week, not quite sure how much it'll be, but after that I can have a good count up and will have some extra to chuck at the CC

Then CC is my absolute main focus, I'm going to blitz it out of the water. I'll ring NW today and see what's happening with this balance transfer thing. 0% for 12 months with 0% fee is a marvelous offer, and will give me plenty of time to clear it.

On other news DD has a new job as a health care assisstant in A&E, very proud of her, this is the start of her road into nursing. It was her first day yesterday and by the sound of it it was in at the deep end!

I've applied for another job, more local. Knocks all the travel on the head, lot of things I'm not happy with in this job, which I'll explain another time. Plus it's more money and the pension is fab :T fingers crossed.

Working from home all week, and also having a detox week. Plus hoping to finish week 6 of coach to 5k, which has taken me about 12 weeks so far!

Aw thanks Beckyy, I don't think it was quite what she thought, there didn't seem to be much support or training going on, she was just thankful she'd worked in care before!

Today has been a good day. I have paid the Honda bill  never having a lease car again!
I've also traced NW re the supa credit card, spent ages being transfered/cut off/onhold, but finally established that I've been accepted but it all takes ages for the paper work etc, so may not be in time to do my balance transfer. So think I'm, going to scrape the bottom of the barrel and pay off as much as I can with every last penny I have, and move the rest at a 2% transfer deal.

Deposited all my coins at coinstar today, OK so they take 10%, but where else will take them, and I can't be bothered feeding handfulls of small coins into the self service checkouts. I had £19 from it so not bad. I also swapped 1000 nectar points for 2 Vue tickets, which I thought might make a nice cheap date night!

    That's it for frugalness today

Frugal days today, nothing spent and cooing out of the freezer, chilli for tea.
As I was with British G@s for duel fuel, I've switched to Bulb, who ever they are, but they're an MSE top pick, so should be fine.
I've taken the rest of the week off, because I'm sick of my job, hohum. I'm trying to get a new website off the ground, which if works will be a money spinner, but lets see! I'll spend a couple of days on that

Have just re-read your diary from the start :) Sometimes it's worth reminding ourselves of where we've come from and what we've actually achieved, rather than what we've not done

I also need to knuckle down with frugality - not sure quite how I'm going to achieve our plans/ must-dos over the next five years....! ;)

Hi greent, you are quite correct, I need to reread it, and maybe my old one too, although I think I'll need to set a side and afternoon for that (and maybe the odd hanky!).
Tomorrow I'm having my decking repaired, so more home expense, but this is the last for a while, mainly as I have very limited funds left. I finished painting the bathroom walls today, just the wood to do so but I need to buy some primer
Still owed £716 expenses from work, from June, so annoying, that will pay off the child benefit I need to repay, then it's all focus on the CC. If expense claims are over £500 they go to the FD to sign off, and he sits on them for ages. So I need to submit them more frequently I think and make sure they’re below the magic 5.
My 0% free transfer has been accepted, yay, I'm just waiting for the account to appear on my online banking to I can request the transfer.
I paid £369 off the mortgage today, which completely contradicts the above as I should have paid it off the CC, but it was only a click to complete the transaction, whereas paying the CC is actually quite complicated, I think it's a trick they have, it's difficult to make over payments! When it moves to the NW it'll be a click of a button, which is what I need I think.
Working from home tomorrow which used to be frugal,, but now I’m home based I get paid for all my mileage anyway, plus I eat my own food when at home! Having said that the travel is very hard work, I’ve got to be in London next week -groan – but will be worth an extra £100 minimum in mileage.
I’ve got so much to say now, but I’m off to bed before you get bored!
