Just what is the point with putting an item for sale by collection and refusing to give an address .Bonkers!
Many reasons . As others have said - cheapest form of a payday loan, or maybe it just didnt sell for as much as they where hoping for

Hang about this board if you want to see sellers justify it, I recall one thread where seller was refusing to give an address and expected buyer to go to a local car park and phone from there and at that point they would 'release' their address.

Many of us sellers are nervous about ebay, and in some cases we are justified, but I agree with the above and would question why anyone would want to sell something on ebay and not actually want to give out an address or allow the collection to be made.

To cap it all, eBay have removed the transaction from my 'purchase history', with the consequence that I cannot even leave my neg. :mad:feedback.

This means potential future buyers are denied a full and true picture of this rogue seller.

To be fair though a lot of buyers only check a sellers feedback after they get problems.
I always look at feedback when buying to get a feel for the seller.

Why worry as ebay have told you they'll cancel his account?

yes I do the same. a thing that worries me when checking this is when you see all transaction done 6 month or 12 months ago and maybe 2 or 3 in the current month, what have they been doing in the last 6 or 12 months (ie: have then been banned)

That would be a seller like me, we aren't all business sellers, some of us just sell a few bits when we have a clear out (or when we are skint!)

You should still be able to find it, if you have the original item won email and click the link to the item I think the leave feedback option should still show at the top.

After 12 messages I finally got the address on Saturday evening but was told not able to collect until after 6 Tuesday evening so I went there its 5 miles away and a car was there but no answer 20 minutes of waiting then gave up .
When I got home a message from the seller sorry but I am just on my way home !!
I was not happy and messaged likewise .
Then she offered to deliver in 15 minutes that was 2 hours and she has just delivered but was in the car on her driveway the one she claimed she was driving home late from work .
What was she up to !! I give up never again .
