    MBNA were very difficult at first and used a 3rd part called "AEGIS" who would contact me about 10 times a day. They have quietened down after a few months of DMP payments. Just giving you a heads up just in case. Hope everything else goes well with the DMP. :)

    From what I have worked out so far.. Most of them start calling a little after 8am.. and (so far) no later than 8.30pm.
    HSBC don't seem to call over the weekends.. But Egg and Capital One do.

    Egg and Barclays seem quite happy to call my employers.. :rolleyes::mad:

    Capital One were also sorry to hear of my financial ruin and find that these things are always better discussed over the phone ... so if I would be kind enough to phone them asap. Oh and don't forget to keep on paying up in the meantime. :rotfl:

    Anyway not too bad as yet... not sure it will last.... ;)

    Oh dear,we have cap one and mbna as our creditors-dmp not starting till august,but busy cancelling direct debits now,so just waiting for the onslaught of letters:rolleyes:.Hope you manage to get sorted,I will not be ringing anyone either-all correspondance by letter for us I hope.Well it should be anyway as we just changed our phone number!.Thanks for posting-finding out how things are going with people who are further on the journey than we are really helps.

    :rotfl:Yep,i jumped out my skin yesterday when the phone rang early-it was my daughter checking her mobile!.Daft really as we have changed our number but I worry they will find a way to get it.

    Much Like RachM and Eupho I'm amazed this morning by my creditors observation skills... 'we have been notified by your bank that your DD instruction has been cancelled'... well I never!! :rotfl:

    Didn't send enough proof of income to CCCS like an idiot but that shouldn't delay things too much... just sent a £2 token payment to Lloyds and half my minimum to Nationwide... means I've got enough for tram fare to work next week lol... they can't have what I don't got lol (plus it's MOT and service day today... joy).

    Any help appreciated!.I have 2 loans with barclays,which are direct debit out of my barclays current account,dh has a loan with lloyds tsb,direct debit out of his lloyds tsb current account.We have cancelled the direct debits after making the payments this month(starting DMP in august).My question is,as they can take the money out of our accounts,even though we cancelled the direct debits- will they just use our overdrafts?(we never use these).And then can we add these overdrafts to our DMP?.We have not included them at the moment,as we dont use the overdrafts and there is no outstanding amount due.We are switching to a co-op cashminder account(should get the details in the next couple of days),so by next week there will be no money in our barclays/tsb accounts.

    It can be difficult when you have loans with the same bank that you have your account with. I was with Natwest whom I had a loan with too. They kept reinstating the DD after I cancelled it. Not sure if it would be the same with Barclays. Would the overdraft cover it before the DMP starts ? Just wanted to warn you just in case. Good luck with the DMP
    I'm always in the brown stuff (marmite)....only the depth varies!!! :rotfl:

    I know with my HSBC account.. It has a payment for my HSBC credit card.. and my Loan with them set up.
    Online.. It allowed me to cancel the Credit Card DD.. but not the Loan payment.
    I noticed a few days later.. the Credit Card DD.. was BACK on. :mad::rolleyes:
