Comparison Errors
Why is it so difficult to compare suppliers ????
Currently with Flow Energy, last 12 months was £855, i do a search and cheapest is One Select, says i'll save £162 and cost for the next 12 months will be £780. If i then click on the link and go to their site i get completely different amounts. From their site i get -
Personal projection of £834 with a saving of £194 !

I get the same costs from both MSE and from the web site .
Thats actual unit costs not projected estimates .0 -
This was my first time comparing suppliers, before coming to MSE I found that each site (supplier) would have their own set figgers that would be different for estimates of use so having exact figures is important when taking the totals off the website.
I ended up doing it on a spreadsheet so I could see what each tariff cost was per day and per unit then multiplied the units by the average household use to get the costs (also multiplied the daily rate by 365 and added those on). It made more sense and I had a clearer view. I seperately applied the discounts in another collum so I could see how this affected things. I also changed the killowats used to see how they affected the price of everyone. You could do that too and substitute your own use figures with the average household use that I used.0
