Clicking on links in posts

Whenever I click on a link in a post (for example the comps section), the link opens in the same tab. I have to right click every one and select "open link in new tab". It only seems to do it on this website.
Is there something on the forum settings that I can change to stop this please?
I am using Windows 10 with Google Chrome.
Thanks in advance.

It's been doing this for a while now, yes, it's annoying.
Click the back arrow to bring you back to MSE.
Or, if using a 3 way mouse, click on the link using the centre bit i.e. the wheel and that opens it in a new tab.
Some people only exist as examples of what to avoid....0 -
I usually right-click and it gives me the option of opening the link in a new tab or window.0

Yes, that's what I always do, but was just wondering if there was a way to fix it.
I thought it was a problem with my browser at first, but I realised it was only happening with MSE.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £43,915.980 -
It's a "security measure" apparently.

So easy to fix, yet MSE haven't bothered doing it ... and it must be several months, if not more than a year, since they applied this "security measure".0
