  • Just had a go at my first pot of gold for hubby. Here it is...

The photo's not that clear but there is a layer of Elizabeth Shaw mint crisps, a layer of gold coins and then three gold caramel tree decorations along with a scratchcard. Quite pleased with it and plan to do a second one for my best friend's OH too.

one things for sure too late for this year
but next year I am going to be looking
more carefuly at packaging because in
the past I have bought little desserts
from time to time and thrown away
lots of little pots that would have been
very useful for this type of thing

    Hey Guys,

Your pots of gold look amazing - so professional and adorable; if I got one as a present I'd be so chuffed - I'm going to try and make some for work friends this year.

Any advice on where to get cellophane? I saw rolls on ebay, but can you buy on the high st?

Many thanks, and keep up the amazing work!!

  • Home base or similar in their craft section or a craft type shop.xx
  • florrists sell it (not sure if by roll or meter) and 1 of our local card shops (single shop not chain) sell it by the meter.
due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

  • Partners have rolls of cellofane for £4.99. Think it was a roll of 10 metres.

Right you have persuaded me, I am going to do pots of gold now for my family members when they come round on Xmas eve.
I won't be putting scratchcards in though as they won't be any good for the young children.
