Hi, I have recently started up a chiropody business and i am so far brining in about £400 per month, this is only the third month and will gradually grow. Lots of my clients have asked to pay by card. I would like only one and probably not mobile. However, if mobile is cheap enough then It would be beneficial as I have two clinics I work in as well as home visits. Home visits do usually pay cash or cheque. Any suggestions on the best suited for me and the cheapest rate?

Are you bothered about the fees? If not izettle or Netpay (from costoco) might be a solution0

For low transaction levels like yours SumUp is the cheapest at 1.95% flat rate and you can get the reader for £30, it is mobile and connects to an android phone or iphone.
I recently got one and it works great.

I've personally been impressed with paypal ones whenever I've used them, but not sure about card holder not present transactions.0 -
We started with iZettle but now use SumUp! The fee's work out cheaper.0

For transactions taken over the phone, we use Stripe. Dead simple to set up and easy to use on the go or on a desktop.0

There are plenty of established and newbies in this field.
The proof will always be IMO is what happens when things go wrong such as a machine breaking down, website/server down etc etc.
Going for the very cheap might look like a good thing to begin with.0
