Hello everyone :)

Setting up this challenge again for this month, thanks fatvond for doing this last month!

Buying lunch at work adds up over the year, a £3 meal deal - taking in to account 6 weeks of holiday, a meal deal at work every day costs £690 a year, but then I always want crisps AND chocolate :rotfl:

So taking our lunch to work saves us money and must be better for our health!

I am on holiday for 2 weeks in September but I am hoping for 10 days of bringing my lunch to work This means I cannot take lunch to work at all in September!

Kicking it off today with pasta, pesto and cheese...I bought a large of pesto reduced to clear so will be eating this for a while :rotfl:

I will try and keep this up to date whilst I am away - if I can't for whatever reason keep posting and I will update when I am back :)

Forgot, crisps 16p so just a 2.50 saving
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

  • Can I join in please? I've been terrible recently as the canteen in my work place provides hot meals for only £3.50 and every Wednesday that's a full roast dinner! As We only work half days on Friday's there's no lunch but a fry up id on offer. I avoided this today and had my own toasted teacakes from home.

I often get bored of having the same thing every day when I make it myself - either a salad or a sandwich/wrap so I'd appreciate budget friendly ideas to mix it up a bit.

Thanks in advance and good luck guys and girls!

I need to do this! It's the vending machine for me and fizzy juice! Would be good seeing everyone's ideas!
  • Welcome everyone! If you let me know how many days you intend to take your own lunch to work I will add you to the list :)

I hope you don't mind me setting one up for September FatVonD!

  • I have got 16 work days this month so I'm going to aim for all of those, starting on Monday. I've stocked up on nice bits from Aldi , including emergency cup-a-soups! I'm going to make a few cheese sandwiches to put in the freezer so I can have cheese toasties using those toaster pockets.

    Packed lunches so far 0/16.
