ilovecashback is a SCAM.

This site has proven itself to be just like the others - a scam. I took out a payday loan on 3rd July through PaydayUK of £100 which in total cost me £129.50, with advertised cashback of £40.00. The transaction has still not been "tracked".

First thing I did was get a support ticket. Had the following response:

"Thanks for your message.

Normally, when you purchase at a retailer after clicking through from I Love Cashback, the transaction is automatically tracked in your account and you do not need to do anything at all.

However, in this case, it seems that your transaction hasn't come through to us from PaydayUK.

Thanks for sending your details - I've now passed them onto PaydayUK who will now look into your transaction and add it to your account.

I'll keep you updated as soon as we receive a response."

Left it a week, got back to them again, said that paydayuk still haven't "investigated" it. This was the response:

"I've just checked on the progress of this transaction and I'm afraid that we're still waiting for PaydayUK to investigate, however, no further info should be needed. I'll let you know as soon as we receive a response from them"

Having spoken to PayDayUK about it, they told me: "I'm sorry. The offer of cash back was closed by 30/04/2014, since you have applied after that, the account was not eligible for cash back." Why, then, was the offer still being advertised two months later on the site? False advertising.

RAGING.

I would NEVER take out a payday loan, not for any amount of 'profit'. They are bad for your credit history and often taking out one leads to taking out more and then a debt spiral begins.

That's your choice. The cashback would have been 45 pounds, so i would get 15 pounds of free money.

on the phone to paydayuk now, they told me they are not associated with this website, they had a deal ages ago that was 5 pounds cashback and that was only directly through them. have asked them to put this in writing so i can use it for evidence to take ilovecashback to hell but they are refusing to put anything in writing.

correct, they will not be associated with any of the cashback sites that carried the offer... they deal with an affiliate company who then deal with any sites that carry that affiliate offer. If you used the forum search you would of seen links to several of those offers here at different cashback sites for that payday lender, some users that had the offer tracked some that did not.

You should never buy something via a cashback site just to get the cashback as there are all sorts of things that can stop the transaction tracking, such as your browser settings, a previous cookie from the target site, some programs on your computer such as norton internet security and others. If you are going to use any cashback sites, you need to read up first on how to increase your chances of an offer tracking correctly, rather than publishing that they are scams.

You might also want read the forum rules here rather than bumping

That said i can still see the offer listed on the site you name.

    Hi all,

Regarding the original post on this thread, glamguide's issue was resolved a few days later and we are certainly not a scam website.

We've been aroun for over 5 years and have many thousands of members.

If anyone is able to contact glamguide, it would be great if you could ask her to confirm this?

expressman33, I really hope that you received your cashback in the end and that it hasn't got lost within the banks systems somewhere. Would you be able to confirm?

We state that we pay members within 30 days of payment request (but it's usually within 7 days).

Please do let me know if I can be of any help to anyone. :)

The post is over a year old! you probably would have made your company look better by not replying rather than making your customer service look like a joke.
