monthly bank charges

Options
Hi all, ive been with my bank for around 15 years and 'upgraded' to a pay monthly account around 5 years ago. I did this as a result of going to the bank for a loan and they rejected me and said a pay monthly account would help my credit score. They also said it was the only way i could get a visa/debit card aswell.
If i go ahead and complain about the monthly fees, (which i use none of the added extras) would i then have to close the account or would they take the debit card away and put me back on a basic card account?

Hope you can help.

Thanks

No-one could predict what might happen but you would have to close the account (given you are saying you don't want it) and move to another account with them - you can check your credit report for free at Noddle (call credit) - if you have been paying your bills and no late payments/defaults chances are you'll get a current account with debit card anywhere
