I voted to go back to the previous "Families" thing and get rid of the separate Mums and Dads sections. Don't think splitting these up is helpful...and what about grandparents who have parental responsibility? There are plenty of those but they apparently don't belong anywhere now.
Good thread, thank you for setting it up.

Is there any reason MSE that things can't go back to how they were? Maybe we are missing something? It seems daft now seeing as though so many members aren't happy

How do you define a 'Mum' & 'Dad' in terms of MSE? Obviously not by gender, as that would be discriminatory ... And what about same-sex couples with two Mums or two Dads? What about our arrangement where we have a working Mum and a stay-at-home Dad (more and more common these days)?

I note MSE have been very quiet since settling on this design. Suspiciously quiet. They haven't even posted to say "Tough, we're not going to change it again"

That it has been moved here tells me that it has been noticed........yet ignored. Maybe its a touchy subject within the team, or they are to hold a discussion of their own about it.

I suspect the decision is made and final (as is the norm nowadays), so they feel no need to discuss it further.

Does anyone at MSE Towers understand the meaning of the word 'FARCICAL'?
a. Resembling a farce; ludicrous.
b. Ridiculously clumsy; absurd.

Keep if the majority are against it becasue the majority are always wrong

it wasn't me who said that, the great GBS said that

So far overwhelming response is to put things back to how they were. The only person who voted to keep the new style did so by accident!

Yoo Hoo - Is anyone out there taking any notice?
