Total tax, Class 4 NIC and ?STUDENT LOAD? due for 2008-09

Hi all,

Was just about to pay submit and pay my 08=09 tax bill and noticed this:

Total tax, Class 4 NIC and Student loan due for 2008-09

I'm not a student and have never had any kind of loan, do they put this as standard or have I selected a wrong box somewhere?

Go back and check your return. If you havn't dne anything wrong, ring your own tax office, not the SA helpline.

I doubled checked my return and found nothing that stated I was eligible (or had some connection to a student load). So, I phoned HMRC and they said it was just a generic term and is on all returns?
