Did okay this year, apart from the smoking :( , so here goes:

    • Go back on a sugar free diet-difficult, but we did this for 8 months this year before relapsing, so achievable.
    • Stop smoking-I HAVE TO DO THIS!
    • Learn Icelandic-I have several free courses saved on the lappy and have joined a fb group for support. I love all things Icelandic, especially the arts scene there, and being able to speak and understand the language should help me enjoy it even more.
    • Go to Iceland-We were going in January but our dog became ill and we had to cancel as she is still recovering.
    • Put money away-My reserves were depleted by vet bills *sigh*
    • Paint daily-I need to improve.
    • Take sketchbook everywhere-I have one in the car now for impromptu sketches
    • Enter art exhibition-Our village holds an art exhibition every year and I want to see if I'm good enough to get in.
    • See Sigur Ros again-I've been a fan for over 10 years and finally got to see them live this year and I want to see them again :D
    • Stretch ears
    • 5800 steps a day-1000 miles in 2017 challenge *gulp*

    1) Lose a little weight, 8 pounds should do it
    2) Get back into running again
    3) Pay off a little debt and get some proper savings
    4) Improve my career in some way, be it a promotion, payrise or move
    5) Pass my MCSA
    6) I have another which will remain secret for now, but I'll say if I did it or not at the end of the year.

Seeing as i never managed any of last year i'm going to keep it simple.

1)Pay off at least £1000 of my overdraft. I'd like to think i'll get it all paid off, but i want to keep this manageable.

2)I need to cut back on alcohol. I've developed a small problem with drinking when i'm at mine and i need to try and curb it. So for now lets say i can only drink 1 night a week. And i hope to stick to that (with the goal of drinking less as the year goes on)

3)well january marks 2 years since i last self harmed so ideally i'd like t make it through another year without resorting to old habits.

    4) Be more honest about my mental health and instead of putting it off always seek help when i need it even if i feel i'm being stupid about it. I;ve not seen my GP many times when i really should have done and i need to get past that shame and accept help when i need it.

OK, as I didn't do to well at this last year, I'll keep it simple.

    1. As much as I'd love to shift my weight from the overweight, into the middle of the healthy bmi category it's unlikely due to various factors, so I'll just say I'd like to finish the year lighter than I started it.

    2. I am hoping to have left the job I despise, even if it means taking a small paycut to do so.

    3. Continue with the cooking proper, healthier food.

    4. Try to do more housework and have a house that doesn't look like a tornado has run through it.

    5. Finally get around to decorating the spare room.

    6. Try to increase the savings pot.

  • Well here goes, like other posters above, I'm keeping it simple this year:-

    1) I lost 24 pounds this year and so my goal is to lose another 24.

    2) I'd like to get my interest free credit card debt down to below £15,000

    3) I'm going to cut back on my alcohol intake

    4) I'm going to invest more into existing relationships with family and friends

    5) Despite a few false starts this year, I really want to find someone worth having a relationship with

    6) All in all, I'm determined to approach 2017 with positivity. Remember, it's a marathon not a sprint.

Well done on stopping the self-harm. I've not self-harmed for 5 years now. It was hard going for the first year, but it has become easier as time has passed. Good luck.

I want to get out more in real life.
