All i know is that i was given the extention, it was the person i spoke to from DWP. It was August last year. I sent all my evidence with the ESA50 form. I had a paper based decision and was kept in the Support Group.

Hopefully - you also now know they are not allowed to give you an extention. And that in trusting anyone who says you can have one, you are risking your claim being closed.

i have copy of previous esa50 form, i had f2f assessment in 2013 but that time i was only on one anti depressant now i am on three different anti depressants and beta blockers.

In 2013 i was not diagnosed Asperger's syndrome in 2014 i diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have A a lot of letters from Autism people which i can send as a proof i will ask for more supporting letter from them.

My only worry is that the person i saw last time in CAB is so busy and also my GP too and i only have less than 28 days left so all i need one supporting letter from GP and cab appointment on time

You don't have to send evidence with ESA50 although obviously that is helpful. You can send it on to CHDA after the ESA50 as soon as you get it, with a covering letter asking for it to be added to your file. You could also email and given them notice you are sending additional evidence to be considered once the letter is ready.

Re deadlines, I got my last ESA50 in December, rang DAB immediately and couldn't get an appointment with them for 3 weeks. I asked Maximus if i could have a one week extension due to slow post & delayed help and that was granted. Done via email so I had proof in writing.

Hi KxMx, can you send me pm with their email i prefer sending them email also could you please include what you have wrote in your email if you send me a template so i can edit and send in email to them. I already have plenty of letters from autism people
which i will send with esa50.

I will ask some more letters as i have an appointment with them today so hopefully they will give me more supporting letters.

As long as the ESA50 is filled out soon I don't see why you need an extension, nor why one would be granted.

Medical evidence can be sent along later

    [Sample email]
Your name, address & NI number.

Dear sirs, I sent back a completed ESA50 to yourselves on (DATE) along with medical evidence.

I now have additional medical evidence i wish you to consider in relation to my claim, which will be posted today.

Please ensure this is added to my file.

    [end]

Print out the email and include a copy in the envelope with your additional medical evidence.

  • Update:

I sent the esa50 with medical evidences on 29th Aug, and they received the form on 6th Sep. Today i received the letter from DWP dated 7th Sep saying that we have looked at your claim again, i was happy that i remain in support group but when i rang DWP then i been told that its nothing to do with reassessment as it just computer generated letter.

They are correct. The letter you received is because some information was updated on your ESA claim, or someone just accessed it changed nothing and issued the letter. These letters are mandatory to be issued when something - anything- is updated on your claim.

The letters usually start of with "We have looked at your claim again due to a recent change....." the letters will go on to say "You will receive ESA £125.55... this is because you are in the Support Group...." etc etc etc.

You can now wait for CHDA to decide if they want to see you for a face to face assessment..... you can phone CHDA 0800 2 888777 to confirm that no decision has been made yet if you are to have a face to face assessment...this will then confirm to you that you have been advised correctly that this letter is nothing to with the re-assessment.

i thought the maximum ESA award was for 3 years?

i was sent an ESA40 at the beginning of May. sent it back within the week and heard nothing.

honed in the middle of June to be told it was sent straight back to a decision maker.
received a letter on 14th July saying supper foe again.

    11th august received an ESA50.
phoned and asked how long my award was. 3 years.
    so why another ESA50?
input into the system incorrectly and ignore it.

will wait a month nd see if they suspend benefit i suppose ;)

I only just saw your post.

If I were you, I would -just to be safe and avoid potential hassle of a claim closure, which you might have to man recon to get re-opened.- I would phone CHDA and ask them "Is there a live referral for ESA?"
If they say yes = alarm bells should be ringing in your head.
If they say no you should then ask "was there recently a live referral made around 10/08/2017 which has now been closed, what was the reason put for the referral withdrawal? i.e. because it was in error?" If they confirm it has been closed because of error, then you can sleep soundly.
  • Update: I received letter from JC i been put into support group without f2f. Thanks all for your advice.
