Primo Insurance?

Has anyone any knowledge or had dealings with Primo Insurance? I have had a competitive quote from Policy Expert for house and contents insurance with Primo, but am reluctant to proceed due to lack of Knowledge of Primo Insurance. Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

They are brokers (not an insurance company)

Another rogue broker who breaks the rules by cynically popping in to do a bit of spamming. (not to mention using an "illegal" board name).

    Press spam button.

You won't end up with a good name on MSE by getting banned for spamming/breaking the rules on advertising/using a cynical board name etc!!

So you knew you aren't allowed to post like this!

    We see rogue brokers frequently!

I think the person was trying to provide helpful information.
It's a shame you think everything is cynical and for profit when it isn't always and sometimes you are wrong.
We see a lot of "little hitlers" frequently too.

Why do you think this broker should get away with rule breaking (which he has admitted knowing about)?

Some would see the use of the hitler expression (which the rogue broker has thanked you for???) you have used as even more distasteful!

I do not agree with your interpretation.
I think he was informing the poster of id theft and not advertising his business.

I find your attitude and incorrect allegations to be quite distasteful as well.
Why don't you let the mods and forum team sort it out?

We are Primo plc, Insurance Brokers. A company called Qmetric has set up a site called policyexpert.co.uk and is trying to register trading names including Primo Insurance. Although the policyexpert.co.uk site states that Primo Insurance is a 'carefully selected insurer', it is not an insurer (carefully selected or otherwise) and there is no site or contact details to back it up.

Please do not confuse the business of Primo plc with the currently non-existent 'Primo Insurance'.

Thank you for your very useful information - much appreciated.
  • Hi

Policy Expert has asked us to post a response. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company may say on the Forum.

'Primo Insurance' is fully authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority 'FSA' - Registration number 529506. 'Primo Insurance' is a new direct insurer brand name.

Claims are admitted in accordance with the Policy wording in exactly the same way as any other Insurer. The Policy Wording has been simplified as much as possible making it easier for the policyholder to understand. 'Primo Insurance' is not an Insurance Broker brand.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

The FSA number provided is for Qmetric Group Limited.

The premiums quoted via their website http://www.policyexpert.co.uk/ are suspiciously low.

Has anyone taken out one of their policies? What has been your experience of making a claim?
