Is anyone using P2P to generate retirement income? I have maxed my pension and OH his SIPP/DC pension and considering P2P. I have some funds with Rate Setter and Zopa for 5 years and would like consider other P2P investments to create £50k portfolio.

Thanks for reading.

I'm using them as a retirement fund for the period before I can access my personal pension. Using Ratesetter and Funding Circle. Went off Zopa a couple of years ago when they turned into what was essentially a bank with just a savings product..

  • Im a fan of Ablrate , takes a while to get a decent spread but every thing on the site works really well and the secondary market is also very useful , have bought and sold with no issues

I have about 5% of my net worth in P2P. The returns have been very good. The downsides are (depending on your model) illiquidity and unknown unknowns due to the immaturity of the market. As my NW increases I've been thinking about locking in to a max-value in P2P rather than % based.

Jordan did you get permission to plug your own company / website?
