First Anniversary Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I know I'm late to the party but please can I join?

I'm about £500 in my overdraft this month, my plan is to scrimp and save to pay that off this coming month, then I can start from next payday with a clean slate.

It would be amazing to have a £1000 emergency fund, just for the peace of mind. I have a savings account already set up with 3 pence in it :o

Welcome Lina T. You are #121.

Car part turned-out to be the wrong one. I have rear wash/wipe on my switch cluster and this unit didn't have that. My bad for not spotting it in the photos.

Still, found a cheaper, newer one with wash/wipe on it, so am now waiting for this one to arrive and fro the wrong one to be collected (the seller was happy to refund even though it was my fault).

Back in work as of next Monday, so my decision to not sign-on was the right one.
The job is initially for 3 months and will be extended based on the work load.

  • Shame about the car part but all's well that ends well:beer:

Congratulations on the new job:beer:. You certainly don't let the grass grow under your feet as the saying goes. An example to everyone who says there are no jobs about:T

And up to 121 challenge members now too. Wow! I wouldn't be surprised if you reach 200 by the end of the year.
  • Congrats on the new job Patman - I'm pleased for you :j

It is a company that I worked at last year for 6 months. When I left, I gave them my contact details and when the same role came up again, guess who they called.

Patman: I did initially want an EF for home improvements. I didnt accumulate a lot and what I did I had to dip into. We now are putting the house on the market so need to do home improvements asap and any savings are going towards the improvements and not into the EF.

I would like to keep my number 104 however - as soon as I am able I would love to build the EF up.

    Thanks for everyone's support x

Well done Pat - great that you have a new job!!!

I have managed to put another £14.16 - I think into the EF - not quite £40 total but nearly there. Would be good to hit £50 as that would be better and is 5%..... Watch this space.
