Here's my latest - dont believe this is phishing since there is no invite to go into my PP account, just to update my address book. Fwd to PP and got an almost instant response saying "yes this is phishing". Do they even bother to look these days?

We're changing our email address - please update your address book.

So that you continue to receive all the latest news, updates and exclusive offers from PayPal, we wanted to let you know that we're changing our email address from paypal@email.paypal.co.uk to paypal@info.paypal.co.uk

To make sure that you keep receiving important PayPal notifications, please update your address book or contact list with our new email address: paypal@info.paypal.co.uk

How do I know if an email is really from PayPal?

Emails from PayPal always only come from a paypal.co.uk address. We will also only address you by your first name and last name. You can report any suspicious emails to spoof@paypal.com

If you have any concerns about this email, please contact PayPal Customer Services.

    Yours sincerely,

    PayPal

How do I know this is not a Spoof email? Spoof or ‘phishing’ emails tend to have generic greetings such as "Dear PayPal member". Emails from PayPal will always address you by your first and last name. Ive had just about all these spoof e mails & some do look so genuine I always make a point of reporting them to eBay so they can investigate & hopefully close these scammers down, Id suggest you all do the same.

They probably ignore them too. I very much doubt they get investigated as there are too many of them

That might be real, log into paypal safely yourself and check if your account needs some information to restore. If all looks 100% OK then it is a spoof.

Received two spoof emails from ebay, one was to download a free tooolbar and get a £50 voucher to use on half.com and ebay. The other email I got was to download a free turbolisting app for placing ads on ebay.

Firefox browser wouldnt open the links, got a red screen telling me it was a scam.

Both sent to ebay, but doubt if they will do much based on past experiences and dodgy buyers on ebay/paypal.
