Mortgage transfer Nationwide

Options
Hi All,
Any help appreciated, we were due to complete yesterday and move in tomorrow.
We had a text from Nationwide on Monday to say the funds were being released on Monday ready for today.
Our solicitor has called this evening to tell us that there has been a mix up and the funds aren't in there account.
Our Solicitor has told us that tomorrow is unlikely but if it does it will be late.
My question is, how quickly can they transfer it? If it's their !!!! up and we've been notified that the money will be in then surely they should transfer immediately.
Grrrrrr!
