#45 checking in with another update £600.00 EF now.

Good news as I didn't need to touch it for the new Central Heating, so plodding onward and upward to reach the target. Slow but sure :D

Welcome to all our newest members. Lovely to have you all join the challenge. We will be cheering you all on :T

#102 signing in after a long absence. I'm hoping to get my emergency fund sorted ASAP as with not having this, we've got into several pickles and added to our debt :(

Welcome back. I know what you mean about getting in a pickle financially.

This week, I have had to fork-out on a new 4-way spotlight unit for the living room (the old one failed and took out 2 of the bulb holders) and for an electrician to fit it and a new kettle ( the switch fell off the old one and I could not fix it).

So that's close-on £130 gone. However, i am in a position that i didn't need to touch the EF (although it was touch and go).

    #60 Update-

3-6 month EF total now stands at £252.87/£3000

I have to renew breakdown cover and have a few trips planned in October so not sure how much more i can add to my EF come the end of the month but any spare will be going in there :)

Well done everyone with your progress so far, its so nice to hear that the EF comes in very handy and doesn't knock people off track when life little emergencies come along

    Hello all

Number 39 here - have just worked out that I have got £93.93 in my emergency fund. All from putting in any tiny bits of interest earned on the current account and cashback from purchases. I'm dead chuffed as it has always been a worry that I didn't have an emergency fund and now it is starting to come together. I know it's not even a 10th of what is needed but it is moving in the right direction.

Thank you Postman Pat for a great idea.
