No wonder the toe was so painful poor you, hope things improve with the footwear. I too go out in my sort of comfy hiking boots they are quite comfy though. £80 is good off the debt too. Hope you enjoy the swimming. My day is take DD and DS2 to town DD needs stuff for camping this week. DS2 was on a sleepover and wont be back till late. Must go to lidl too more supplies needed and more of those yummy almond chocolate ice lolly things (they are so nice, better than magnums) Well I need cheering up DH not back till monday.:rotfl:

    How are your toes Red?

I've been doing the challenges on MGs thread. Most of my list is material things and I thought I wasn't that sort of creature which has got me doubting myself, thoughts and feelings. Really struggling with the 'happy' childhood memories as my wasn't a particularly brilliant one. I hope I'm bringing my sproglets up the complete opposite to the way I was 'dragged' up.

  • Mine are healing honey. One still has what appears to be a black bruise underneath the nail I 'set back on' the day of the incident. I expect to lose that eventually. The break seems to be healing well though.

I haven't kept up with MG thread but I have focused on positive thinking and it has definately reduced my stress levels.

Re bringing spriglets up - the fact that you are concious of what you didn't like/wasn't good for you as a child, means that you are so not doing it the same way!

I think when you've experienced 'dragging up' you absolutley do it the opposite way - from all that I read - you're a definitely a bringer rather than a dragger......................:A

Ps speaking of all things foot related - have you seen the new hunter catalogue - OMG - wellies to die for - hugely expensive - but so so so pretty.......................... I wants one, well two actually................

Feeling a lot brighter. Got 3 loads of washing on the line. 1 of them is our double duvet as the kingsize is back from the dry cleaners so that's going back on tonight.

Had to go into the town today. Got ds1 some revision books and DD1 a beginners Spanish which has a CD in it. We've been practising on the way home. Went to Lidl and spent £35 mainly on fruit and veg but bought some picnic bits for our lunch. Chaps decided they didn't want to go swimming. We toddled off to the beach, the waves were huge with lots of frothy white horses. Chaps decided to run down and then be 'chased' back up the beach. I stood watching for a while and then thought that looks good fun. Had a mini lightbulb moment, thought sod it and whipped my shoes and socks off. I was soon screeching like a banshee as the waves got me!

Sounds like a brilliant day was had by all, I do miss the seaside as I was brought up there but am in the country now. Youre doing a great job with the kids lucielle and certainly not dragging them up.
