Get involved in farming’s national open day
LEAF Open Farm Sunday is the farming industry’s national open day. Farmers across Britain are invited to take part and host an event. Registering your event on this website is free of charge, and will provide you with access to top tips and free resources ahead of your event.
If you are looking to visit a farm on Open Farm Sunday then make sure you put 11th June 2017 in your diary and come back nearer to the time to find details of the farms opening near you.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 9 May: Farms across England, Scotland and Wales will open their gates to the public for various activities on Sun 11 Jun.
To find out if your local farm is participating use this Farm Finder - it lists all the info for each farm's event.
Most are free to walk in (over 90%), but others will charge a fee (£1-£10) or ask for a donation. If no entrance fee is mentioned on the website it shouldn't be charging - although it's best to check with the farm.
The activities at each farm will be different. Examples include sheep racing, lamb feeding, welly wanging, pony rides, egg collecting, sheep shearing, face painting, tours, and tractor rides (some may require a charge). You might need to book ahead for some farms or activities so check out the details online.
Big thanks to Sarah1972 for the original spot!

Hi everyone
We'd love to hear about any Open Farm Sunday venues you've been to before that you'd really recommend for a good day out.
If you recommend them here, letting us know which part of the country they're in it'll really help others choose which to go to.
They really are great fun. I took my kids to one a few years ago that gave a tour of the farm on the tractor, stopping in a field of cows then walking back through the fields past a large pond area where we were given a talk about pondlife. The girls loved it. Sadly it's not on the list this year.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

We've been to Middle Farm in Hampshire a few times and always enjoyed the demonstrations, sampling the produce and even driving the mini tractors.

Thanks anamenottaken, that's really useful. It's worth checking the dates. Great that while some couldn't do it on the day they're still doing itCould you do with a Money Makeover?
