Thanks Bellevie and Rosa. I've decided I'm not going to skint myself and get in more debt for expensive furniture. The writing bureau has cost me £20 and on eBay they are anything from £70 to over £100.

I also have an old blanket box on castor wheels of my nans that I used to use as a coffee table. I have decided to paint that too. I'm sure my nan wouldn't have minded knowing it is still getting used.

I'm excited and sad at the same time about this move. Just need some closure.

    Tink xx

Well the old tenants moved out on Monday and the council were in that afternoon. I've drove past today and it looks like they have ripped the bathroom out as it is on the front lawn. I've also got DD a bed and started to buy bits and pieces that I can pop in the shed.

Today I got my provisional offer so I'm hoping that I get the keys next week, my housing officer is on holiday this week. It would be a great start to the month. Things are awful here now but I just don't have any other choice.

Other good news is that at the beginning of the month I was skinter than skint and counting down the days until payday. Now my dad has given me some money to get carpets etc and yesterday I had a shock to find they had sorted my tax credits and it has been back dated, although I have yet to receive a letter about it. This now means that I can buy a new cooker!!

And the last good thing is that I get a pay rise next month as my 3 month probation is up.

These have all obviously made me happy but with the mood being dictated in the house by him its hard and the week is dragging. I was so glad to see the dancing girls back on MT's diary.

Luckily the place where I got the sofa and the bed from are holding onto them for me until I move which is good and they are going to deliver.

DD is being fantastic although I'm a bit worried she is worrying about me as she is constantly asking me if I'm ok, bless her.

Today I took my friend to the shops and then she gave me a lovely hair cut. Total new re-style which has made me feel better and I've even bought a dye to do at the weekend. No comment at all from him, not that I was expecting one. Anyway when I got home Mr D had decided he was bored with the box I left him and he has discovered he can open the kitchen cupboards. He decided he wanted to play with the washing powder box. You can imagine the mess I came home to but all I could do was laugh at him. He's such a character.

Anyway, I'm back to posting and once the flat is sorted I'm getting this debt kicked.

    Take care.

A second woop woop on the new bathroom!! We renew ours roughly every 30 years unless there is something drastically wrong, so its always nice when we can time it for someone moving into their new home!
I am so happy for you, feels so right, everything is just falling into place.

I remember reading somewhere that although people don't realise it at the time, women tend to opt for a major change either hair or fashion wise when they come out of a relationships. It's almost like rediscovering yourself.

And woop on the pay rise too, what perfect timing :D

Things are sounding so positive Tink. I'm really happy for you. A new bathroom will be so perfect. So fresh and clean. I really hope things move fast on that for you.

Also, the pay rise is perfect. I love how things sound like they're really falling into place for you.

Thanks Kirsty. I can't wait to get debt busting. I'm still doing my penny challenge. Can't believe I've stuck to something for a whole month.

Bellevie thanks. I'm loving my new hair cut and do feel changed for the better.

I'm assuming from your posts you work for a council. How long is your turn around on getting new people in to empty properties?

Hi MT and Rosa. I do feel like everything is falling into place but I'm anxious that something is going to slap me in the face and ruin everything.

    I hate anxiety.

So I've been awake since Mr D woke me at half six with kisses. I'm not so patiently waiting to call my housing officer, she was on holiday last week so there was no movement at all. She is totally understanding of my situation to move quickly but I don't think the person I spoke to last week was that bothered.

Ex oh told me last night that he now wants me gone, the sooner the better. Does he not think I want that too. I would move in today even if work needing doing on it. Just a nice peaceful place to rest my head and concentrate on me and DD.

Money wise I am struggling to spend any of the money I have in my accounts. I have never had this much and I love seeing it there. I wish this was the case all the time. Hmmm one day.

I'm still doing the penny challenge and have lasted a whole month so I'm impressed with myself.

I think I have a problem though. I'm addicted to my planner. Although the one I have isn't working totally for me I keep having other ideas how I can reuse an old Filofax that I have never been able to part with.

I'm loving the free printables you can get and did start off with A4 but now I've found the A5 ones it's opened a whole new possibility.

The things I do to keep distracted lol. It does help with my stationery addiction lol.

    Sorry for the long post.

    Take care.
