STICKING PLASTER RESIDUE

Any ideas on how to get rid of sticky bits left by sticking plasters?

a wet pumice stone (ouch possibly!) is always how my dad used to do it! Have also used nail varnish remover as a slightly kinder method (!?) on my daughter.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Rub a dry bar of soap over the area then rub gently with a wet face cloth

toner or surgical spirit might work. Nail varnish remover definately works, but depennds where you are rubbing it! Wil lsting like mad if you get it too close to broken skin

There is a product called Zoff, available in individually packed wipes that I buy in my local chemist. It's speically designed for removing sticky residues.

After my daughter had an operation, she had to use large plasters, we struggled so much to remove the residue .. until a nurse told us to sit her in the bath and to use cotton wool and baby oil ... it works a treat!
