@regret70 That's good news, took less than the 14 days then? I received my email confirmation this morning that they hope to complete within 14 days.

Wins so far: Cunard QM2 Cruise, X Factor final tickets, £1,000 Team build day, Dinner at the Ritz with Rolls Royce limo

Yes it was 10 working days in the end, I didn't get an email saying it had been processed it just appeared in my bank.

  • I have to say I looked into this a few weeks ago but thought nothing of it. Today I went back through all my old bank statements and worked out I paid over £5000 interest to QQ & W0nga alone!! (There are 4 other companies I need to look into, I was in a real mess 3/4 years ago!) I'm adamant I'm going to claim now, I feel they took a real advantage of me considering most loans were taken out within a week of settling the last!!
  • Wonga have had my complaint for exactly 4 weeks. Received this email this evening

Your complaint is still being considered

  • hi there, I'm new here and I've also being struggling with payday loans, and would like to know if this is something you have to do yourself or if you can get an outside company do the leg work for you?
  • I'm doing it myself, there are companies that will do it for you but they'll take a huge chunk of any compensation you may be due as fees.

It's been really simple so far, just a couple of emails to each company concerned.

Follow the guidance and templates on the debt camel website

    Good luck
  • I have received a reply from both Wonga and Lending Stream and both are not willing to budge, so would really appreciate advice.

LENDING STREAM have said that according to information given the loan seems affordable.

WONGA have said they do not investigate loans that are over 6 years old.

Are these correct? Or shall I go to the Financial Ombudsman?

    Thanks
  • Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum & would like advice.
After reading this thread I sent emails to lending stream, wonga, payday express and payday uk.
Lending steam came back to today stating I'd 9 loans from 2011 to 2013. States they did checks blah blah. I was trapped with these 4 companies for years.
I defaulted my loan with them. They said they are prepared to write it off and that's it.
I replied asking for details of loans so I can make a better reply. I'm thinking of taking it to fos.
Was using a diff bank at time so waiting on statements coming too go through them.
Anyone else dealings with lending steam?
    Thanks
