Did not see any mention of this book only being sent out to the first 2000 to apply, but have received an e'mail to say I will not get one as I was not in the 2000.0

It clearly states 'subject to availability'-they could have sent just 10 copies out and it would still be valid under those terms.
Their sole concern is of course to harvest your contact details.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
