yorkshire pudding without egg?

was gonna make yorkshire puddings for tea but i have no eggs i've never made them without eggs woul they be alright or shud i just not bother? were having a roast dinner so it wouldn't really matter if we didn't have any

  • Aren't the eggs needed to provide lift and to firm the mix up so it cooks puffed? IYSWIM.

    Otherwise you'd have more of a coating batter for deep frying. Maybe a thick mix with baking powder added could work - deepfried you'd get doughnut like 'things'.
