you can normally only enter the lounges after a set time before your departure.
I doubt you would get 6 hours in there. 3 at most

Like I said, I managed my clubhouse entry with Virgin Atlantic at Gatwick.
I have NOT been given lounge access with British Airways at any point at any airport.

No trap. If you think I am a troll just block me.

Have you ever tried to get upgraded with BA? Three posts ago you said it was worth the OP trying to get upgraded and used your examples of being upgraded at virgin airlines as an example to prove it can happen?

It's very confusing how you're now backtracking and are saying the OP has no chance.

I don't think you're a troll but your posts do seem to change :rotfl:

where have I said they had no chance with BA?
I have not flown with BA and have never tried.

Have you managed to get lounge access yourself? If so then share your experience. If not, why not

As I said you liked a post that implied the OP had no chance with BA.

That implies you agree the OP has no chance of getting an upgrade.

You then posted that you had got an upgrade so I questioned the previous like.

You then said it was virgin not BA you had managed it with.

Now you're trying to disassociate yourself from the original like.

    You're a beautiful contradiction ;)

re read my post. I never said I was upgraded and I said it was VA in the same post.

"Have to say that I managed to get invited to Virgins upper class lounge at Gatwick 3 times when going to Vegas.

It cant hurt to lay it on thick and there's nothing to lose by asking. "

    There you go.

Not sure the OP has even mentioned lounge access

but there are 2 on here that need to get a room just for themselves

I'm sure BA will relent and put you on a later flight from Glasgow.
    They are usually quite amenable.

Four and a half hours in Heathrow is certainly more palatable than 6 and a half. Trying to get through to BA on my coffee break but I'm struggling. I've found a flight (BA1445) from EDI to LHR that gives us a 3 hour stop over time as well, I'd be happy to take either the Edinburgh flight lands at 1240 which is late enough that we can get lunch and change terminals before getting on the LAS flight.

As for lounge access, I don't think it's really my thing. Isn't it full of businessmen on their phones and laptops? Certainly it would be nicer than being in the mayhem at T3 but I'd rather have my stop over time reduced if possible.
