    Thank you Bear

I am actually smiling about it (how sad):rotfl:

Totally agree about CCs as well. Its been too easy to whack everything on them and then worry. Hence the reason I'm here.

It just proves that with budgeting and saving whatever amounts you can, really is the answer.

Its a shame I never realised this a long time ago. Anyhow I am on the right track now :D

We have quite a bit of unused credit on the cards, and I havent even been tempted to use them. I hope this determination continues.

I am waiting for January's CC statements to come in about 2 weeks time then my total will be in the £28,000s :j

    Thanks again :)
    SP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000
    PDBX 2017 #2 = £1,200/£12,000

Hi EE and thanks for your support.

I will certainly look into starting up a car fund, that's actually a good idea.

I am so happy that I actually had the cash to pay today as I would have been sitting here like this tonight :(

But I am sitting like this :D (little things please little minds eh)

    SP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Not sad at all. It's a vital thing you have learnt today and will stand you in good stead on the rest of your journey to
    being debt free :T
PS. Might be a good time to think about cutting up the "debt" cards so you can't use them, temptation or not

A very valuable lesson learned your right on that one :D

    As for the cards

OH has MBNA £2900 limit zero balance :D
I have a BC limit £3500 limit and zero balance :D

I will set about closing these 2. I suppose its like a safety net. I've been so used to having them for just in case purposes.

I need to change this mindset ASAP

You could always stick one in the freezer, that way you can't just pick it up & use it, you have to really think about it & you'll never have it with you 'by accident'. Just until your emergency fund is really healthy!

Thanks Patanne Thats a great idea

I never keep cards on me any more. There was a time where I would take one with me (just in case) Not any more.

Its too easy to think oh i'll have one of these and two of these whilst out shopping. Its so easy done isnt it? Eventually It just creeps up on you until  Just like my weight :rotfl:

I think you have changed your mindset. Lots of people when it is suggested they cut up cards have excuses as to why not. They won't even consider it. I know it's a scary thing to do - I really do
