KIDS GO FREE Madame Tussauds

Hope this is the right board :/

THIS half term week kids can go free to Madame Tussauds if they are in halloween costume and accompanied by full paying adult.

Unlike many special theme park deals you CAN use this deal when booking in advance, therefore you can get special advance booking prices (I just booked for me and my child for £25.50)

As I am a new poster i cannot put a link, but go to the Madame Tussauds site and look for "Glamoween"

At first I was going to use my Kellogs voucher, as with that I saved a couple more pounds, but if you use the Kellogs voucher you have to QUEUE up (the website says the queue can be 3 hours in school hols), whereas with the online booking I have a timed entry slot.

Please note your child does have to be noticeably dressed up. the lady on the phone said to me last year some kids turned up just in hats and were turned away.

We used this deal on Monday and took an outfit for our child to put on in the queue but when we arrived no-one else was dressed up at all. We decided to wait till we got to the desk but we weren't asked about it. They just wanted our ref no. We didn't see anyone else dressed up either. I wouldn't risk taking nothing but a light easily carried outfit as you probably won't need it.

Also everyone seemed to be in the priority queue, which was quite long. It wasn't a problem as it kept moving and we were in in just under 15 mins. There didn't seem to be a 'normal' queue and we saw some people walk straight up to the ticket office, buy tickets and straight up to the door and in as no queue on that side. So maybe worth a look if you've got vouchers that you use on the day as there may not be much of a queue as everyone else has prepaid for priority access.
  • Hi.
We used the deal on Tuesday. Lots of kids weren't dressed up but we presumed they weren't using the deal, my daughter was checked, but she was dressed up, dunno what would have happened if she hasn't been, I was just going by what the women in the phone said.

When we got there the queue for paying on the door was an hour and half.

In the end though, we had a horrible tone, unbearably hot and crowded, nowhere to sit down. Queue of 50 mins to see the film. Won't go again.

I worked there for a year and most of the time the timed queue was as long or longer than the other queue! Especially during term time when school kids were booked in. The poor teachers were expecting to be let in at a certain time and their whole schedule gets messed up when they have to wait for three hours to get in!!
