something strange with paypal. Advice needed

hey everyone
hoping someone here can point me in the right direction on what to do here.
so not too long ago i bought an item from this site called dangerousthings
and paid via Paypal as a bank withdraw.
the cash was taken and item marked shipped by them. with a tracking number that is still valid and i can see my item is moving.
the next day it says completed transaction on the account
I've logged into my bank this morning to see the following:
PAYPAL PAYMENT 47.85
RETURNED DD 47.85
curious I logged into Paypal and there is no mention of a refund anywhere and my balance is unaffected in Paypal.

all i can think of is that i messaged them to ask if i could do an unboxing implant and review and maybe they decided to give me the money back as its some sort of advertisement.
but wouldn't that show up in paypal?
what do you think? I'm confused AF right now
