If you want Sonic look on the play store for sonic games.
Re Mario games there's no Mario game but there are games that are Mario like.
I can tell you the games I have tried.
Puzzle games
Cogs
Power Line (starts off a bit easy)
Bubble Unblock
Dots and Triangles
Matches Puzzle game
Smash (not a puzzle game as such)
The Room
Unblock Me
War Escape
Cant recall playing any games that fit into the other categories.0 -
There's loads of shooting zombies type games. There's loads of parking and driving cars, buses, lorries etc. and some decent car racing. My favourite puzzle game is Triple Town. I've had an android device for 4 years and never paid for a game. If the game you want is to pay for, just do a search for similar games.0

If you like fighting other players with big robots and guns
You could try walking war robots0 -
If it's for a tablet and not a phone then i've got to say Baldur's Gate is fantastic.
Civilisation Revolution isn't bad either.0 -

Cat - Not really - I've only kept about 3 games for more than a couple of months. There was a decent driving game based on need for speed from memory. The 3 games I regularly play are Grimfall, DomiNations, and Triple Town - the first 2 are 'strategy type building civilisations fighting other people' games.
I usually go onto the Google Play store bit and look at the top 100 games as a starting point. If you go onto a game that is to pay for, it usually shows at the bottom 'similar games'. The search function is pretty helpful generally - 'driving games' gives a loads of returns. I've just remembered that I sometimes play Hill Climb Racing by fingersoft (lots of knock off copies of this as well) which is quite fun for a while - worth looking at. Perfect Shift is ok , although gets a bit tedious after a while.0 -
