I tried to use one of the referrals for Prolific but it said I'm already registered, it must have been an age ago, I had no idea what the password was! I've now filled in my profile and am awaiting expectantly.

Do they email you or do you have to keep checking in?

They email survey invitations but it's once in a blue moon, often because it was a 2-parter and you've already done the first part and the follow-up is ready for you to do.

It's usually a case of checking in regularly and starting a study as soon as you see one as they fill up very very fast:eek:.

It's best to actually check which studies are available for you after you've logged in to your account (there's a 'Studies' button at the top of the page). that way you'll only see the ones you're eligible for. If you check the Studies page without logging in you'll find a whole list of interesting studies that you won't be eligible for:(.

You can withdraw money from £5 but Paypal charge fees. Not a lot but most of us resent having to pay it and wait to reach the £20 mark when payments are free. They only pay via Paypal but the money is paid very quickly indeed:j

    Good Luck:beer:
  • Just spotted an invitation email from eBay offering 50% off final fees. Valid for 9 days so I might just about manage to find something to list before it expires:o. It's invitation only so probably a lot of you didn't get it.

I hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday break and if you aren't making any money I hope you aren't having to spend too much;)

Lynne, I hope you're OK. Seems ages since we last heard from you:(
  • I am very late to the party I know but please sign me up for this. £10/day seems a bit ambitious but I will give it a shot. :)

So far: £0 but I should hopefully get a Swagbucks payout in the next couple of days.

    Hiya money-makers :hello:

So sorry I've not been around but have been a bit poorly

Last time I posted I said I was feeling unwell and it just become worse. I thought I'd picked up a chest infection and just dosed myself up with some b**chams.

Woke up the next morning, couldn't stop coughing and had problems breathing. One hour later I woke up DH to phone me an ambulance.

Long story short, it seems I had a nasty viral infection and had a heart attack in Admissions  They weren't sure what virus I had, as I had some strange symptoms and had come back from Europe only six days prior.

I was admitted into High Dependency and put in total isolation for four days - testing me for everything from Bird Flu, Swine fever and viral pneumonia. I was wired up and fully monitored 24/7 - one nurse to two patients.

Anyways - I am now home and just finishing course of strong abs. Brain is like blamange, legs still stuffed with straw and sleeping hours and hours as I'm soo tired.

Think I have to see the doctor in a week or two and meanwhile on low aspirin and blood-thinning drug. I hope they did finally find out what it was as I'd love to know what tried to kill me !

On another tack, I haven't had time to read back through yet, but hope you all doing well. It's only half-way through April so plenty of time to fill those coffers :D

Hope you all have a lovely Easter Monday

My god Lynn!! What an awful and frightening time you've had! Thank you so much for taking the time to post and tell us what has been happening. I'm sure we're the last people you must be thinking of but, even though we're not 'there', we are in fact still 'there for you'. Sending lots and lots of good energy your way. Hopefully the Docs and the love of your family will see you straight soon.

    Take care of yourself xx

  • Oh, Lynne, you must have been so scared. What awful symptoms to have had. I (and I know everyone else who 'knows' you on here will be feeling the same) am so relieved and thankful that you are on the mend again:j.

It was only yesterday afternoon that I enquired about how you were in one of my posts. We always miss you when you aren't here keeping us encouraged and motivated by your lovely cheery posts:A

Your comment ''So sorry I've not been around but have been a bit poorly'' was the understatement of the year:eek:

You ended by saying: ''On another tack, I haven't had time to read back through yet, but hope you all doing well. It's only half-way through April so plenty of time to fill those coffers

Hope you all have a lovely Easter Monday''

Please don't waste your time and energy bothering to read back what we've all been up to in your absence. We've been trying our best (some of us with more success than me:o) to keep the money trickling in. We'll keep on trying to the bitter end, we won't let you down:)

I'm sure we'll all have a lovelier Easter Monday now we know you are alright:beer:

Please take care of yourself and don't worry about us lot:)
