This cake fits 2x7" pans and is full proof
    Weigh 4 eggs then
    Equal weight of caster sugar
Equal weight of self raising flour
    Equal weight of butter
    2 drops of vanilla essence
    Pinch of baking powder
Cream butter and sugar add beaten egg a little at a time and 1 tbsp of the flour to prevent it splitting. Add the vanilla, fold in the flour and baking powder. Add a dash of milk if the mix is too stiff, you want it to be a soft dropping consistency.
Bake at 180 for 25-30 mins
When it's cold sandwich together with whatever you fancy. Hth
Forgot to say to line the tins
konMarie and fabbing all the way
