Tesco current account?

I was under the impression that if we opened a joint current account we would be allowed the 3,000 interest each...but speaking to them today we only get allowed 3,000! Anyone heard different?

    You would need two sole accounts to get interest on £3000 each... or two joint accounts, or one sole and one joint, etc.

    No one will have heard any different because the T&Cs clearly state that interest is payable on the credit balance in the account up to £3000.

    If you had opened a sole account each, you could have had interest on up to £3000 each.

    Balance x gross p.a. rate / 365 x n

    where n = number of days in statement month.

    Roughly £7.54 interest per month (paid gross) on £3K held throughout the month.
