    I did get a free listing offer on eBay, not the one I was expecting, but a three days of free listing. This is better, as I can spread out the listing

    It was a very pleasant day today


    We went to B&Q to pick up a some mortar and sand, which we are going to use to tidy up the patio, by levelling some of the slabs and filling in the gaps. We also called in at the tip to dump a few things


    Then on to good old Dobbies. We had our February free cup of coffee, and then had a look round just gathering ideas.


    Then home, with various potterings around such as making chicken soup.


    M&S have notified us that 6th - 9th February will be 20% off days. This is what we have been waiting for. We have Mr Goldie's £200 leaving work gift card, plus some other vouchers, so we will be spending at the end of the week:j As we have done a lot of work on our wardrobes, we know what we need:T


    Can't wait!


    A dress and a shrug sold on eBay, plus the visit to the tip to get rid of 2 old Sky boxes (too unreliable to sell), coat hangers, old tools (failed to sell on eBay) and a bag of general junk means that the de-cluttering total has risen to 149

    £672 for glasses? :eek: :eek:

    I am very pleased that that's a bargain for the two of you, I'd be beside myself if glasses cost me that much. I *think* my basic driving glasses + prescription sunglasses cost me £60 in total, but they're straightforward lenses and I'm not overly blind :)

    It's the lenses that push the price up so much. We both have varifocals, and we have mid range lenses, rather than the cheapest.


    In the past, I've paid over £500 for one pair of glasses from the independent optician we used to go to, so the £672 is a complete bargain when looked at on that basis!


    This is also why we keep our glasses for years, to get our money's worth
