hello all
My daughter has been awarded care component dla.We had a back payment on the 12th,but wasnt sure when to expect the next payment. Is dla paid weekly, or monthly? Will it be around the 12th of the month each time if it is paid monthly,or would it be every 4th week?

Every 4 weeks but dont take it that it'll start from the back payment date, I got my back payment 2 weeks before I got the first DLA payment.
I get a double payment in August , which is the good thing about it being paid every 4 weeks
I wish it was paid weekly as it would be easier to budget (in true money saving style)I remember when this was just a little website! :money:0 -
DLA claim form says 4 weekly payment scheduleI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

thanks to you both
I dont remember anything about 4 weekly payment schedules on the form, but then it was almost long enough to rival war&peace...
The "amount per week" is mentioned, so I assumed it would be paid weekly.0 -

Im not dying yet! :rotfl:
I might phone them up and see if it could be paid weekly, but as I dont get any other benefit they'll probley tell me to take a running jump  . I didn't see any tick box on the form and ive just sent the renewal form back. I was watching seehear the other night (at least thats what I throught it was) and they said that the gov were going to be looking at the DLA form to make it eaiser to fill out because of the different disablitys that full it out. (Ie, with my deafness and Menairs I only have to full out certian boxes but I have to write lots and need extra paper.) Which will be nice (and wont take up 5 f****ng hours of my time, ive read War and Peace and Harry Potter in less time!)
Ive taken a photocopy of this form, its not like im going to be able to hear in 3 years so i'll fill out the next form as a carbon copy of this one and save time, stress and be able to spend more time on MSE ( :rotfl: )I remember when this was just a little website! :money:0 -
